Hällingsåfallet — Attraction in Strömsunds kommun

This was definitely one of my most favourite spots on Vildmarksvägen or even my whole Sweden Roadtrip. The view of the waterfall and it's descending canyon through pure wilderness is just magnificent. The waterfall itself can be accessed by car or with a camper very easily. There are actually two parking spots one right next to Hällingsåfallet about 1min walk away. The other one is located further down and has a beautiful trail along the canyon which (about a 2km walk to the waterfall). There is also a toilet which is free to use, next to the upper parking. Really cool waterfall and canyon which is definitely worth a visit. The road here is bad. Especially the last few kilometers as it was made up of big rocks. Before the really bad part you will have a long gravle road.

Amazing and easy accessible huge waterfall. Wait for the sunlight (as a kind photographer advised me) as a rainbow will appear over the waterfall. Trails in the woods around are really enchanting. Mosquitoes are present but not so a big problem as often reported on other reviews. Road to reach the location is unpaved but...
