Ivar Ericsson was one of the most successful car dealers Sweden has known, starting to sell Renaults in the 1950-ies moving up in image to Mercedes-Benz via BMW in the 1960-ies. In parallel Ivar started to collect veteran cars and this collection must be one of the most important in the country. We stopped by during our road-trip from Switzerland to the Barents Sea. I found my first car, a Renault 8, bought in 1964 in which I travelled from Stockholm to Moscow to see the Bolshoi ballet in the middle of winter 1965 after having obtained a visa for train travel only. It was an exttraordinary adventure.

Ein kleines aber feines Museum - vermutlich privater Natur. Trotzdem eine bewundernswerte, mit viel Liebe zum Objekt dargebotene Ausstellung von bekannten und weniger bekannten Automobilen und Motorrädern - oder sind Modelle wie Princess Vanden Plas bzw. Sumi bekannt ? Sollte man den Vildmarksvägen in schwedisch Lappland bereisen, lohnt sich ein Abstecher allemal.
