The Rock Carvings at Fossum — Attraction in Tanums kommun

This experience was truly remarkable. We visited all of the UNESCO Sites in Tanum. Very interesting and located among beautiful forests and farms. Had a beautiful feel to the whole area. The rock carvings are very visible and mostly outlined in special red paint for you to see. The variety and details in the images are interesting. There are enough signs to explain the sites and interpretation is given but also allowed for own interpretation and great family discussions. We didn't visit the museum as it was a bit pricey. At the nearby rock carvings museum, one of the staff members gave us a great tour and explained a lot about the carvings. This made visiting the carvings a lot more interesting, because the information offered on the spot could be a bit too less if you're actually interested in these things.
