Beautiful place, good wine and a 1860 castle. I got a gift card from work for one night & breakfast for 2 people in a castle. Seemed a good deal, but in the morning it cost us 2000 kr extra, included in the "deal" for mandatory purchase for 3 courses & 3 wine taste. Food was ok and 2 wines were great. I'm not a sommelier. The room could be better. Understanding it is a castle, but the room had no noise insulation. Not so much for the strange noises during the night, but the morning we heard the other guests clear and loud while they were going to have breakfast. Some cracks on the ceiling and a odd wallpaper didn't help a feeling of balanced price/quality. Good stuff!

Jag och mitt sällskap valde sommarpaketet i början av juli 2020 med ankomst på lördagen vid 15 och utcheckning på söndagen kl. 11. Allt funkade väldigt bra med incheckningen och kvalitén på rummet som hette tempranilllo och lår på andra våningen på slottet. På kvällen åt vi en 3-rätters meny som ingick i paketet och den var mycket vällagad, till förrätt var det olika former av inlagda betor, huvudrätten var rödtunga mycket vällagad fisk och efterrätten var en donut med tillbehör. Allt var mycket välkomponerat och vällagat. På kvällen tog vi en drink som var helt ok och sedan på söndagen åt vi en frukostbuffé som också var bra. Något som var negativt var dörrarna in till rummen som var obefintligt ljuddämpande vilket gjorde att man hörde alla ljud utifrån korridoren inklusive när de andra gästerna stängde sina dörrar vilket skedde ganska brutalt då alla dörrarna in till rummen hade dörrstängare...

Champagneprovning på slottet med efterföljande 5rätters middag. Boende i Vita villan, med egen toalett o dusch vilket ej finns i slottet. Det var en kall helg vilket det även var på rummen . Champagneprovning - 5 glas redan upphällda när vi kom och resultaten är att samtliga saknar bubblor. Allesammans från Pol Roger. Det sista Winston Churchill vintage öppnades och hälldes upp direkt och resultat =bubblor. Middag - 2+ av 5. Lammfiol väldigt god men en segare anka har jag inte ätit (nästan rå dessutom). Päron med en Stor bit stilton - fantasilöst . Verkligen besviken och dessutom är ju slottet väldigt kallt på vintern. Har aldrig frusit så under och efter en middag. Frukost ok

AVOID. Kronovall Slott took our overnight booking before Christmas, then went bankrupt…. but nobody informed us of their recent Bankruptcy or contacted us to cancel our booking. The place was closed down when we arrived.

New owners came out, but looked beyond clueless about our booking. Could only say sorry we’re closed or to recommend somewhere else to stay locally…. Even as the ‘ new owners ‘ this is not how you treat your customers.

Do not waste your time, especially if this is how returning guests are treated by the old and even the ‘ new owners ‘

EDIT: 1 star review stands as the ‘ new owners ‘ have handled this whole situation very badly, so it’s definitely not ‘ unfair ‘ as they might suggest in their response.

Stone over baked pizza, tastes well, but not a lot of options. We had their regular pizza and a "guest pizza" with potatoes and sour cream to choose from. Both were good, though a bit pricy at 155sek each. The oven can only do 3 pizzas at once, so if you have a larger party or if there are a lot of people, you will have to wait for a good 30+ minutes to get the first 3, which will be cold if you wait for the others to arrive before eating. You can also see a bit of art in the form of sculptures and paintings in and around the stable where the pizzas are served. Not somewhere I go often, but worth a stop if you are hungry and nearby...
