Stora sand — Attraction in Värmdö kommun

Oceanic Fragrance. No Lake-Like Odors. There’s none of that murky, freshwater musk. Instead, the scent is crisp, invigorating, and unmistakably marine. Turquoise Waters. The water is not crystal-clear but it glows in shades of aqua and teal, unlike the darker hues of most lakes. Not Powdery White Sand but it is soft and cool underfoot, the sand here is ideal for lounging, walking, or building castles. But still becarefull for those sharp tree barks.

Locals’ Favorite. Though it’s not heavily commercialized, it’s beloved by residents for its serenity and natural beauty.

It’s a wonderful and beautiful sand beach with a big stretch. However, go early or late to get car parking as it’s difficult to find parking place. There are multiple bath places with toilets near by. There are big rocks near by. Be prepared to walk and no shops around, hence buy and take what...
