Tidö Castle is a castle located 17 km south of Västerås in Västmanland, Sweden.

I was here a few times as a child, from which I have no memory. Visiting it now however, I can say for certainty that it is a fabulous castle, sterdy and rustic, much like its original owner Axel Oxenstierna, the creator (for good and bad) of the Swedish bureaucracy. I can definitely see myself visiting again.

This house is beautiful with it's surroundings to just stroll around - be advised, going into the house itself is possible on specific dates and times which are listed in their website. Also, they only accept enrty fees with Swish

Got here later hours of the day but was able to get a good view of the surroundings although I didn’t enter or have an assisted tour. Will recommend for anyone around Västerås.

Good place to visit, but do not expect a lot of "glamor" from this castle. It's another style. To visit the third floor you need to buy a ticket, but it is worth it.

Sam zamek jego architektura, ogrody i otoczenie piękne. Darmowy parking to plus. Jednak jeśli chcesz zobaczyć i zwiedzić wnętrze pałacu MUSISZ się dowiedzieć kiedy jest to możliwe. W przeciwnym razie możesz się rozczarować i pocałować klamkę. Strona internetowa niestety nie dostarcza zbyt rzetelnych i klarownych informacji. Jednak samo miejsce urokliwe ciche idealne na odpoczynek od zgiełku dnia codziennego.
