A spontaneous trip to the nature reserve this morning as the weather forecast seems to show good weather. I'd recommend to park at the parking lot at Örsta because it is fairly close to the lake. We went to the other parking lot at Olhamra at first, and we realised it is a few km away from the main lake and viewing points and it might take an hour or two before you arrive there, so if you're not up for a long trek then park at Örsta. The area is windy and can be cold as it's an open field. So pls wear windproof thick jacket. It was 8°c today and I had a down jacket with 2 layers of sweather underneath so it was enough to protect me from the wind and cold. Pls also wear good shoes with sole support as the path can be a little "stoney" to walk. The view is worth it and amazing, sound of birds and ducks and going up the viewing points is a MUST! Be careful with your steps when coming down the stairs. Good to bring some snacks, sandwich or cookies and some warm coffee to compliment your rest time while looking at the scenic view. I'll probably get a binocular next time, because the birds are shy and hiding in the bushes most...

🇸🇪:

🇬🇧:

This nature reserve was pleasing as well as gorgeous nature. Nice nature & environment. The hike was almost 8km and took about 2 hours 30 minutes. Lots of stunning and cute birds but also other animals. I would recommend you to take boots and clothes that can withstand wet if it has rained and if it’s hot and sunny bring a hat or something to protect your head with, as you mostly walk in a large field/meadow. Highly recommend this place if you especially like...

The nature reserve is a quiet haven for birds and is surrounded by farmland with horses and cows. It offers easy walks to various lookout points to view wildlife and a large granite cliff provides a vantage point to admire the marshland and...
