Amazing spot! Definitely worth the trip to check it out. I was in a tour and the guide brought us here, this place has some viking ruins (I believe it was a council for them to discuss stuff) and also some believe it was a small port for them. The best thing about this place is the view on the lake, absolutely fantastic and nice for relaxing or having a small picnic. I was there in April and the lake was 85% frozen but it looked amazing.

This place is a well-preserved Viking Age assembly site (ting) In the 11th century, this was a place where local men gathered to settle disputes, make decisions, and hold court — a kind of outdoor parliament. Here you can find as well 2 rune stones raised by Ulv and Holmi in memory of their father, Sigfast. Plus there is nice view to the lake (and parking place as well)

Wonderful Nordic history. To a person who enjoys Norse mythology, it is a must visit place. The bucolic area surrounding it is very pleasant and tranquil.
