Summer is here so weekend hikes are looking like this! Surrounded by lush greenery, there were a few routes that we could take. We opted for the Japanese trail which was about 2.5km and that took us on a trail with trees that came from all over Japan!

After which, we took another 2.5km route around the park, taking in the lush greenery , the rushing waters and the fresh air. Definitely worth spending the morning here!

P.S. No tickets needed, it’s a beautiful free park for everyone to enjoy. However, if you enjoy it and want to donate to the park to help keep it nice and clean, you can scan a...

Beautiful place worth spending one full afternoon, wandering through the different paths (Asiatic section, Conifers section...). Be careful to plan arriving and leaving off peak hours: the parking entrance is a very narrow road which only allows alternate drive. You could find yourself clogged in a traffic jam, just to enter or leave the parking. Still worth every minute spent with beautiful trees, some of them old and magnificent. Easy and convenient way to pay at the entrance by scanning a QR code (requires Twint...

Beautiful place to visit all year round for hikes through the valley where you can study most varieties of trees that grow in Switzerland. There is also a museum devoted to wood in all forms and shapes and a small coffee shop where you find basic drinks and some minor dishes, eating outdoors. In early spring you can see magnolias in flower. Unfortunately, this year of 2023, most of the flowers had suffered from below zero temperatures. Highly recommended for anyone...
