I was deeply disappointed by my visit to Biopark Geneva. It is simply unacceptable to keep animals in such conditions. Some of them were in dirty enclosures, and what shocked me most was the constant noise from planes flying overhead every two minutes as they take off from the nearby airport. The animals looked stressed and uncomfortable, which was heartbreaking to see. This place is not really a zoo, but more of a small farm-like setup, and in my opinion it is not worth the entrance fee at all (wich is 10 frank per adult and free for children under 16 years). I only paid in the hope that the money would be used for the animals’ care. Unfortunately, after seeing the conditions, I left feeling upset and regretful. I cannot believe such a place exists in Geneva, a city I expected to be more respectful toward animal welfare. Honestly, I hope someone will start a local petition to relocate this park or shut it down, because animals should not be forced to live under constant stress and poor living conditions.

First visit is free! The park(which will be changing location soon)provides a shelter for animals that have been rescued or needed a home. The park is in wonderful condition and provides a unique experience by (sometimes) allowing you to interract with these animals from close up. It is also worth mentioning that some parrots can talk and if you stop by they might tell you Bonjour! Besides the animals near the entrance you will find two food trucks- the lebanese one has delicious falafel sandwhiches. Lastly there is a shop which houses many beautiful souvenirs and savoury snacks and any purchases are a large help to the park and most importantly the animals.

I love this park and it's mission as an animal sanctuary. There have been big changes recently to make the visitor experience better, with a new entrance, clearer signage, improved paths and an events space for kids birthday parties. Annual membership is still 50sf. The day I visited, there were many more volunteers than I've ever seen before, which was great to see. The animals remain the main reason to visit, and there have been some improvements to habitats, though many remain a bit small. But it's not a for profit zoo, but rather a non profit, volunteer run centre for rescue animals, and I love it for that.

We celebrated our child's birthday at the BioParc.

Positive: The animals are well treated, the place is beautiful. Feeding is a special moment that leaves lasting memories.

Less positive: Communication with park's staff is not optimal. It is generally show and we received conflicting information as to the time at which we were due to arrive which created unnecessary stress as we were waiting for guests.

The place where the picnic takes place is sufficient but basic. Think to bring tablecloths.

To conclude, we found that the total price was a excessive for 15-20 minutes of feeding. However, it remains a good way to support this place which is...
