Tour Plein-Ciel — Attraction in Chardonne

Gem hidden in the woods. Very nice hike from the station and spectacular views at the top! Was impressed by the construction of this place as well by the fact that it looks completely empty. Very cool! It is a perfect place to shoot scary movies :) There is a machine for banknote change before the gates, but we found it only after we left the viewing platform. Look for a round-shape one-storey building in the territory of the Plein-ciel. Note that you have only one chance to get on top of Plein Ciel when the elevator arrives to pick you up, otherwise you will have to wait for the next tourist to enter the site or someone going down...

Visited today, took the funnicular to Mont Pelerin and then walked for an hour along the signposted trail to the tower. The toilets were shut. You pay for the lift either by coins or debit card these days. Press the buttons on the left of the machine to indicate the number of adults/children and then it allows as many people as you paid for through the turnstile. The entry now takes contactless credit cards. But what you really should know is that you don't need a car to get here. At the top of the funicular there is a self-serve electric bicycle concession.
