Fortress is closed for public , but the way up there was great and easily accessible by walking. In nice weather the view is amazing, you can see on one side the Black Forest and on the other side the Alps.

Eine in Privatbesitz stammende Ruine. Es bietet sich eine wunderbare Wanderung an, wenn man weiter unten vom Hotel Bad-Schauenburg hoch Richtung dieser Ruine neu Schauenburg wandert. Danach kann man noch weiter hoch wandern zur Schauenburgerfluh, denn dort weiter oben auf einem Felsen befinden sich noch die wenigen überreste der Ruine alt Schauenburg.
