Einer der schönsten Bergseen der Schweiz. Die Wanderung zum See selbst am Fluss entlang ist bereits ein in Erlebnis. Steht man am glasklaren See, bekommt man ein unvergleichliches Panorama geboten. Geht man ein paar Meter höher in Richtung der Leutschachhütte, die im Übrigen ebenfalls definitiv einen Besuch wert ist, zeigt sich der See ganz in blau.

Der Nidersee ist ein Bergsee in den Urner Alpen. Er befindet sich im Gebiet Leutschach in der Gemeinde Gurtnellen im Kanton Uri. Der See liegt auf einer Höhe von 2091 Metern über Meer, unterhalb der Leutschachhütte des Schweizerischen Alpenclubs (SAC) und des Obersee. Entwässert wird der See vom Leitschachbach.
