This is not the restaurant. This is the cable car station down the mountain and it is operated by the restaurant. This station is only reachable by car. You can park your car for free by the station. When you go up, you don't have to go to the restaurant. You can simply go on one of the hiking trails but you still have to pay the restaurant for the cable car ride. This place is not accessible if you are not driving! I got an Uber there which cost me about 17che and then I had to walk all the way down the mountain which took me an hour to do! It's not for the faint-hearted! All in all, delicious food served at the mountain restaurant and beautiful...

Die Fahrt war insgesamt sehr preisgünstig: Hin- und Rückfahrt für nur 14 CHF pro Erwachsenem. Die Strecke dauert weniger als 10 Minuten und war sehr gemütlich. Oben angekommen, befindet sich ein Restaurant, wo man dann für die Fahrt die Tickets kaufen sollte.

Der Hügel ist vor allem dafür gedacht, im Restaurant etwas zu essen oder zu trinken oder die Wanderung von dort aus fortzusetzen. Was ich vorher nicht bedacht hatte: Die Sonne verschwindet bereits früh hinter dem Pilatus, wodurch ein grosser Schatten über den Hügel fällt. Dadurch hatten wir zwar eine wunderschöne Aussicht auf den Vierwaldstättersee, die Glarner Alpen und mehr, aber es war auf dem Hügel selbst recht schattig und dunkel. Deshalb empfiehlt es sich, früh dort hinzufahren und den Tag von dort aus zu starten.
