The museum exhibits sandstone excavation tools and processes used back in the days in the region of Krauchthal. It is quite impressive how a small country like Switzerland has such a diverse landscape. The 2h hike along the three Sandstone quarries is quite refreshing. Note: Not to hike on a rainy/snowy day as it can get extremely slippery...

Schönes kleines Dorfmuseum mit vielen Informationen zum Sandsteinbruch, zur Strafanstalt Thorberg und zum Leben in Krauchthal in früheren Zeiten. Wir erhielten speziell viele Informationen zum Sandsteinbruch, von jemandem, der vor Jahren selber dort arbeitete, der somit die Verhältnisse gut kennt und uns auch schildern konnte, wie anstrengend die Arbeit war und wohl heute noch ist. Sehr interessant...
