Late this Wednesday afternoon, February 1, I hiked to this interesting cascade close to La Sarraz, that attracts lots of people during summer. For the quick-footed it takes 10 min from the parking, for the slow hiker like me, more like 20 min and for short legged individuals, like small children and dogs somewhere in between. The vertical drops of the trail are small. At this time of the year you better wear good shoes or Wellingtons and look out for icy patches. There was a decent amount of water in the river Venoge that runs through a narrow canyon before the cascade. Sadly it was impossible to access the stony steps facing the water-fall so I had to shoot my photos from the end of the...

Great place when you arrive to the actual waterfall. Nice little walk before it. Make sure you take good shoes as there are a bunch of slippery rocks and stones on the way. I don't put 5 stars since I don't think there is as many areas to sit and enjoy and there are not as accessible as other places but overall great for a Sunday walk. I posted some photos on my profile if you want to have an idea - with with drone and some...

An easy, beautiful outing in Switzerland magical nature. There is a little 20 minutes walk from the parking to the bottom of the cascade. About 10 meters elevation, the swimming in the natural pool under the cascade is so nice, but still cold (13C) in the middle of this hot july summer.

Every weather feels different here, and during our visit, we were fortunate to experience the enchanting ambience of rain accompanied by the soothing sound of waterfalls. It was truly amazing!
