Les Mosses - Lac Lioson circular hike, 9km, 3.5-4hrs walk. Parking du Lioson d'en Bas is now CLOSED, one could only park at le Col des Mosses.
You could walk either direction - I turned left at the intersection to the lake, then returned via Petits Lacs; the opposite alternative involved a steeper upward climb.
There is a restaurant overlooking the lake where one could rest and refresh.

The trail is more of a road which is easy. Be careful on the way down if you do not have hiking shoes as the pebble road is rather slippery. The scenery is beautiful. You can walk around the lake. You can also see rabbits that are kept beside the restaurant. Very nice outing on a sunny day. There are longer hikes from the restaurant or from the...
Read moreSuch a hidden treasure! After a 50 mins upward hike the lake comes to you like magic. The water is icy cold but so clear and refreshing. I had an extremly relaxing moment floating on the turquoise water and watching the peaks around me. This place really brings one's mind out of the everyday hussle. We had a small picnic on the lakeside and a coffee in the buvette. It is worth ot to go down on the longer way towards the buvette des petits lacs. It really gives the feeling of an adventure and from the higher vintage point the view becomes even more...
