Pfäffikersee is a lake in the canton of Zürich, Switzerland, near the town of Pfäffikon. It is 2.5 km long and 1.3 km wide at the middle. The lake was created in the last ice age when a moraine blocked off the ability for the lake to empty north towards Winterthur.

Hundehalter müssen unbedingt die Hunde an die Leine nehmen. Es gibt zivile Kontrollen und solche, die von den Rangers durchgeführt werden, die Bussen fallen saftig aus.
Ein Umrunden des See's ist eine wahre Freude. Man kann in der Seebadi in Auslikon, bei Jucker's Farm Art, bei Wali's Wurstbude und in Pfäffikon am See gut einkehren. Eine Umrundung ist ca. 9 km, führt durch Schilf, Wiese und Wald, die Wege sind sehr gut begeh- und mit dem Bike auch befahrbahr.
Nebst Jucker's Farm in Seegräben gibt es auch noch die Ruine ( Grundmauern ) des Römer Kastell's in Pfäffikon ZH. Bei sonnigem Wetter hat man von beiden Plätzen ein fantastisches Panorama mit Blick in die Alpen.
Wenn es denn mal ordentlich Schnee hat, kann es passieren, dass der See zufriert. Wenn die Eisfläche freigegeben wird, lässt sich der See bequem überqueren.
