DEUTSCH:

Subject: Safety Concern – Incident at Ski Lift

I would like to bring a serious safety issue to your attention. Please take three minutes to read this message.

During our ascent, our T-bar lift malfunctioned and broke, causing us to fall off.

On February 10, 2025, at 13:45, we began our ascent on the T-Bar Schwammkopf D2. During the ride, the metal tube supporting the plastic seats broke, and we fell off the lift and down the slope.

After recovering from the initial shock, we returned to the base station and requested to speak with a manager to officially register a complaint. However, the lift staff ignored us until we mentioned calling the police.

We waited two weeks for a response to our complaint, yet we were completely ignored. After reaching out to the Flumserberg administration again, we were informed that they had reviewed our complaint and confirmed the malfunction. However, they denied any responsibility and refused to continue the discussion or provide any assistance or compensation.

As a result, worn-out ski lifts continue to pose a risk to guests. For this reason, we have submitted an official complaint to the Federal Transport Authority.

Please like and share this information to help spread awareness.

Thank you for your time, and have a great day.

Best...

Medium sized resort, with enough of a variety of runs to keep almost everyone happy. Sledding, cross country and winter hiking are also available. Plenty of activities in the summer, like hiking and biking. Its very popular with Zurich residents probably due to a direct weekend train. From the train one takes a 20 minute gondola ride up to the base of the resort. Lockers available at the top of this gondola. Another plus is the amazing views, even from the base of the resort. The cafeterias are a disappoint with so-so food, crowded, and uncomfortable. Not a comfortable place to wait all day if your family is skiing. It's not a resort I would take out of town guests to wow them with Swiss skiing but it's great for a quick one day trip...
