We're living in the region since many years, and each time we have guest from abroad, we take them to Regensberg. It's always a success, as the tiny, old place with its old houses and the unusual tower is fabulous, especially for guest from countries that have no medieval history. It's also very interesting for most to look down the illuminated shaft well (you have to pay a small fee to have the light switch on, so it's highly recommended to have some coins with you). A huge plus is the spectacular view you can enjoy on a nice day all over the countryside, from the tower (entrance fee and steep stairs!) or from the village. Read moreThe area around this old castle is so idyllic, romantic and beautiful. I would recommend visiting the castle. Going up the stairs and enjoying the spectacular view. In the summer time, they have a summer party up there with lots of activities for kids. You simply buy them a bracelet and they can try all kinds of funny activities. Easily spent 5-6 hours up there for the party. It is once a year around June. You can't drive your car up there though. During this festival there is a shuttle bus going up there. Read moreThis Village is often overlooked by tourists. It's situated on top of a mountain with beautiful surroundings. The castle and Tower is medieval nicely restored. In the center there are mainly Apartments and Hotel and school. There is a nice hotel and restaurant with an interesting menu. It's beautiful with a lot of flowers.
