Wintersportgebiet Splügen Tambo — Attraction in Rheinwald

The skiing is great in Splugen. This is a review reflecting how the ski lift runs business. I came to the ticket office asking for a refund on a ski pass I bought for the following day as I unfortunately could not ski the next day. I was first told to explain myself to ski lift manager like they're they're the police and then I was told that actually there are no refunds of the ski pass regardless if I do not ski the following day. During the sale they never mention tickets are non refundable and they do not display their terms and conditions in visible place at the ticket office. This is theft. What a childish joy to dive in and move on the snow, especially when it is in Switzerland! Great location with plenty of space for ski trainings. I've got my 1st lesson ever here and enjoyed every bit of it. Smart people training as well, with spectacular views and a very friendly attitude. Moreover, we found it very easy to rent everything on spot and at the end of the day just enjoy a warm wine by a big fire at the bottom of the mountain. Kleines, aber sehr gutes Ski-Gebiet! Hat wirklich tolle Ski- und Snowboard-Lehrer, die sich auch Jahre später noch an einen erinnern können! Habe dort vor vielen Jahren selbst die Skischule besucht und manche mögen sich nach fast 20 Jahren immer noch an mich/die Familie erinnern :-) wer den Kasper kennt, weiss, was ich meine ;-)

Das Bergrestaurant hat eigentlich ein gutes Preisleistungs-Verhältnis. Das Essen ist wirklich fein und die Preise sind fair. Die Getränke (0.5L Coca Cola 5 CHF/1L Coca Cola 9 CHF) sind meiner Meinung nach im Rahmen, wenn man den Transportweg und den Aufwand berücksichtigt. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, auch wenn es aufgrund der Sprache (manche italienisch sprechende, wenig Deutsch) manchmal zu Missverständnissen kommt.

In den letzten Jahren hat sich vieles (zum positiven) verändert und gute Dinge wurden noch besser gemacht! Ich freue mich auf weitere Jahre, in denen ich Euch im Winter für ein paar Tage...
