This is a very beautiful location with amazing views of the lakes and alps. You take the Stoosbahn up to Stoos, then walk a short way to Klingenstockbahn, take the cablecar from there up to Klingenstock. This is where the roughly 2-3hr ridge trail begins over to Fronalpstock where there is a nice restaurant for refreshments. The views are stunning of course the entire way. The route is pretty easy with good hiking shoes, not much elevation, a bit up and down. The last part has about 150m elevation. The downside is the sheer amount of people on this trail in the summer. If you can, avoid the weekend to skip the thousands of people! From Fronalpstock, you take the cablecars down to Mettlen, then Stoos, then a short walk am back to the Stoosbahn. Overall I recommend if visiting Switzerland, but if you are into hiking, there are many more less populated places ;)

One of the most beautiful hikes I have ever did. Not easy for those with a fear of heights as the trail gets really narrow and beside you there are very steep hills. No water on the way so make sure you are prepared. Several rest areas on the way. There is a restaurant at the end of the trail - at Fronalpstock. It was very very windy when we went so make sure you have something to cover your ears. Therefore, the chair lift may be closed. Just something to count on. In that case. Be prepared to hike up and down which is 2-3 additional hours.

Ridge hiking from Klingenstock to Fronalpstock. Breathtaking views along the way. There are several sections of narrow and steep trail which require full attention. Recommend to take the cute lift to the village Stoos before the hike. It’s quite an experience and help save time/energy for the 2-hour ridge hike.
