Mischabelhütte AACZ — Attraction in Saas-Fee

Sit in the mid of the journey between saas-fe and the 2 4000 summits (Nadelhorn and Lenzspitze), the hutte is surrounding the valley beyond on a magic atmosphere.|Based on 2 buildings, it offers around 100 places for sleeping. |This is not a hotel and it’s mostly for people waking up prior of 3am to reach glaciers the day after, so here is my pros and cons.|WHATS GOOD|Toilet system is funny and functional for so many persons (liquid is split from solid and with a special mechanism you’ll never smell any odors!|Breakfast (served at 3 or 5 am) is really complete (lot of bread marmalade Nutella tea or coffee butter).|Dinner was good (except for beverage see below).|WHAT IS BAD|no water (it comes from glacier) is provided. But I never saw a place providing dinner without water to drink!you have to purchase..at 15CHF! Beer is less expensive..be prepared and bring this from valley.|Place to sleep are really really really small: it’s much more like a coffin than a place.|Price for sleep+dinner*breakfast (CAI discount) is 64€. Very, very polite personal and so helpful. Prices - for a helicopter serviced hut are ok, despite that for the people that are not from euro zone is quite expensive! But they deserve it! They work a lot and at very difficult location. The thing that do not like in this and other swiss and Italian top located huts is that when you book only overnight /without food/, you get the sleep in the cold, dark winter room, or old hut or whatever... It doesn't matter if you do your reservation first or 2 weeks ago, you just don't fit in the society of the halfborders!!! I can say more about the lack of cancelation options and understanding about the reasons for cancelation, but...it is ok. After all it's a business and that's what are the modern huts. Greetings and thank you for the apple pie, super clean toilets and hard job that you do every day starting from 2 am...
