Entlebuch Biosphere is a hidden gem nestled in the lap of beautiful nature, offering a delightful escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. As you wander through the lush surroundings, you'll stumble upon intriguing relics such as bunkers and abandoned Bauernhofs, adding a touch of mystery and adventure to your visit.

However, be warned - you might find yourself feeling a bit like you've stepped into the land of the proud boys when you encounter a few places adorned with coronation flags. Don't worry, though, it's all part of the quirky charm of Entlebuch Biosphere!

Overall, Entlebuch Biosphere is a fantastic destination for those seeking a unique mix of natural beauty and unexpected surprises. Just remember to keep your sense of humor handy, as you never know what delightful quirks you might...

The views from the top of Brienzer Rothorn are gorgeous on a clear day. Well worth the trip. And the mountains are vast. We took a train from Lucerne to Schupfheim and then took a bus to the last stop which is in Sorenberg. Then we took a cable car to the top of the mountain where we got lunch at one of the two restaurants, and the steam powered cog wheel train down the other side to the town of Brienz where we caught another train back to Lucerne. One tip: buy a telle-pass which covers all train (including cog wheel trains), bus and boat transportation for a certain number of days at a significant discount. Swiss mass transit is...

Beautifully picturesque area. Great for calm days or even hikes. There are multiple but not many ski slopes. Very friendly locals and about 3 restaurants to choose from.
