I recently visited the Rosenlauischlucht in Meiringen and had an amazing experience. The pathway offers stunning views of the powerful water carving its way through the rocks, showcasing nature's raw beauty. The path is well maintained, ensuring a safe and enjoyable walk.

At the terrace located at the entrance (which also serves as the exit), you can relax and enjoy some lovely drinks and small snacks. It's the perfect spot to take in the surroundings and recharge before or after your walk.

Moreover, being around flowing water can have numerous health benefits. The sound of water can be incredibly soothing, reducing stress and promoting relaxation. Additionally, the presence of water can improve air quality by increasing humidity levels, which can be beneficial for your respiratory system. Staying hydrated with fresh drinks available at the terrace also supports overall health, aiding in digestion, maintaining energy levels, and keeping your skin healthy.

Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking to experience the impressive power of nature in a serene and...

I came here for the first time yesterday, the day of the closure of this Unesco world heritage marked canyon till next spring. There was little water in the river but the cliffs in the canyon carry witness of potentially very high water levels. There were climbers inside the canyon but they moved too much for me to be able to "shoot" them with the very low shutter speeds I had to use. The surroundings are beautiful, even without leaves on the trees. There are plenty of places where you can have a bite if you left your picnic at home. However, don't expect anything...

Absolutely worth a visit. Did Aareschluct yesterday and really enjoyed, but then thought this was better still. The sound of the waterfalls is wonderful and the size is just hard to capture in photos. Took bus from Meiringen. You walk up through the gorge on a good path, but lots of steps and then come back down on a path through the woods to the start. It's refreshingly cool, but not cold in gorge. Visit the outdoor cafe at the Rosenlaui hotel for a snack/lunch before catching the bus back to Zwirgi for Reichenbach falls and the funicular back...

UNESCO World Heritage - Impressive waterfalls! Crystal clear water! Way up the gorge takes about 20-30 min walking. Once you reach the top pn the way down you get also a great bird view of the gorge! Astonishing what mother nature creates! Entry fee 10 CHF. Nice Café right at entrance👍 Free car parking. Bus takes visitors up until the entrance. Driving up from the valley by car you get to see the glacier! It's just beautiful and more than a visit worth!
