Excellent area for mountain biking. Just back from 10 days there. Your lift pass covers you for all 12 ish resort areas and all the associated ski lifts. The riding is epic. The Swiss National ( Grand Conche) was a fantastic trail ( old school single track steep and techy). If you are from the UK then trail colour system is the same, however, some of the blue trails would be difficult reds in the UK.
We Vanlifed by the far end of Lake Montriond and was never moved on. Lots of other vans there too. Great for swimming ( washing) after a hard day on the dusty trails.
