Der Flachsee ist der rund 1,4 Kilometer lange südliche Teil des Stausees an der Reuss im Kanton Aargau. Er ist mit seinen 72 ha der zweitgrösste See, der gänzlich im Kanton Aargau liegt. Der See gleicht eher einem Fluss der vom Staudamm bis nach Unterlunkhofen reicht. Wunderschönes Naturschutzgebiet mit vielen Vögel und Tierarten.

Grosser Parkplatz bei Rottenschwil, erholsamer Rundgang über die alte Holzbrücke bei Hermetschwil-Staffeln (Kloster). Holzhütten mit Gucklöchern, um die Fauna ungestört zu beobachten, vor allem Vögel.
