Torgon (Les Portes du Soleil) — Attraction in Vionnaz

Torgon uses the link into Portes du Soleil as the main selling point but Torgon is really a hole not worthy of even visiting.

I was told there would be a bus shuttle from the main accomodation area to the top of the mountain but they decided it wasn’t worth their time to operate the bus shuttle so people had to walk up 1.5hrs each day. Lots of people and young children had to walk up while some kind locals took pity and picked who they could.

After a season with barely any snowfall, it finally snowed 1m and all of Portes du Soleil was open to lots of excitement. A lot of happy people posting about the great conditions but unfortunately Torgon was closed. For 3 days while everyone was on the mountain, Torgon remained closed apparently because they had to groom the snow. The resort and staff just don’t have the capacity to deal with good or bad snow conditions. The services in the area are in adequate and it’s a horrible location to access the rest of Portes du Soleil.

Do not go to Torgon. Our family went last year and it was the biggest mistake. Will never go to Torgon and highly recommend you...

Nice small ski resort with access to the rest of the Portes du Soleil. It’s nice for young families or students who don’t want to pay too much. However it’s not the most practical place to ski so if you are a good skier or want to enjoy other activities other than skiing, I wouldn’t...

Petite station pour un départ sur un immense domaine, les portes du soleil. Torgon est vraiment pas grand mais cette mini station essaye depuis des années d'attirer des activités et courses en tout genre. En 2019 le tour de romandie arrivera le 4 mai dans cette station. Il faut aussi noter que celle-ci est rapidement accessible depuis Lausanne en 50 minutes ou Genève 90 minutes. Côté ski si la neige est au RDV c'est du bonheur car peu d'attente et des prix corrects. Vous trouverez aussi passablement d'appartements à louer ou acheter pour des prix super intéressants.
