The massive castle structure dominates the old village of Vufflens and the rapeseed fields and castle vineyard to the south. It was constructed during the early 1400-s and there are wild stories of the initial owner's treatment of his wife and four unwanted daughters. The castle continues to be privately owned to this day and therefore you cannot visit its interior. However, the gate to the inner courtyard is open so you will be able to see much of the building structures. Read moreI took a walk from "parc de l'indépendance morges" to Vufflens-de-château. It took me 30 mins to reach there. Such a nice walk. Lots of greenery of vineyard, cows eating grass in the field. But when I arrived at the castle, I cannot get inside because the local people told me that it's private area and no one can get inside. I'm a bit disappointed but that's ok because the view (from where the castle is) is amazing...
