Panoramaloipe Gibswil — Attraction in Wald (ZH)

Well maintained, great cross-country track. Not for the faint hearted though. It is medium difficulty for the climb as well as for some of the decending parts. Well worth the work as the panorama is breath-taking. It is really within an hour from Zurich. Even by train it is completely doable, 5 mins from/to station. They check your pass up at the track entry, so have it prepared. The center is also great, though now closed mostly due to COVID. There is 🚻 and takeaway available still. Can only recommend it! Fastinating area and excellent cross country ski trails! Be aware you need to have really good winter tires on your car in order to get up to the ski rental station. Das Langlaufgebiet vor der Haustür Zürichs. Zugegeben, die Anreise von Zürich oder Winterthur dauert eine dreiviertel Stunde. Der Besuch lohnt sich aber auf jeden Fall. Wer mit dem Zug anreist findet in Gibswil die etwas kleinere Riet-Loipe gleich neben dem Bahnhof oder wandert ab dem TCS-Parkplatz vom Dorf hoch. Rund um das neue PanoNordicHaus wird von der Materialmiete und Kurse bis zur Dusche und Selbstbedienungs-Restaurant alles geboten. Die Loipen sind attraktiv rund um den Bachtel angelegt und bieten tolle Aussicht in verschiedene Richtungen. Hier findet jeder Läufer eine passende Herausforderung.
