The observatory platform at Gornergrat is one of the most striking features of the mountain ridge. It offers a spectacular panoramic view of the surrounding alpine landscape and mountains, including the iconic Matterhorn.
From the platform, you can see a stunning 360-degree view of the Pennine Alps, including peaks such as the Matterhorn, Dufourspitze (Switzerland's highest peak), and Liskamm.

You will have plenty of time to enjoy the view with really less crowded when you start early. Just be aware of your steps because it can be icy in some walking path. Make sure you wear proper shoes and try to walk on snow so you wonât...
