登瀛書院 — Attraction in Caotun Township

「登瀛書院」為南投縣草屯鎮的首座學堂，四周皆為廣闊的稻田，是目前台灣六十二所書院當中建築主體保存最為完整的書院，修建時均盡量沿用當時的建材，正門上的「登瀛書院」與「學教敦倫」古匾是自創建時懸掛至今，而執事牌、供桌、香爐與文昌帝君神像等文物依舊保存完善，擁有眾多極其珍貴的古文物，是為國家三級古蹟，並於每年農曆一月三十日與八月十八日舉行春秋二祭。每到考季「登瀛書院」總會有大批考生前來祈求金榜題名，學生們也會到此溫書，是莘莘學子重要的心靈寄託。 "Dengyu Academy" is the first school in Caotun Town, Nantou County. 名字得自"十八學士登瀛洲"的登瀛書院 位於南投縣草屯鎮 1985年內政部列為三級古蹟。書院為單進双護龍三合院 單簷歇山式建築 前有一座燕尾翹脊"照壁" 中央三開間獨立建築為正殿 兩側為七間式護龍 居中為中殿 也就是講堂 內供奉文昌帝君 魁斗星君 關聖帝君 朱衣神君 孚佑帝君 故又稱文昌祠。1848年由地方仕紳發起募捐 興建完成 1883年 1926年 1976年 曾先後經過整修 最後一次整修完成為1988年。卻在1999年遭遇921大地震創傷 2000年再度着手災後整修 2003年修復完成迄今。當今樣貌主要是1883年再修後的版本 之後的整修大致都維持這個樣貌 在台灣62所書院中 是唯一歷經四次大重修 仍能被選為保存最完整的書院類建築物 堪稱珍貴文化資產。整棟建築古樸雅緻...
