I am from UK. I arrived on my bicycle. I was shouted at by a very rude angry man guarding reception. He did not welcome me at all to the Hot spring despite working around reception and wearing an employee uniform. With him was an older woman also dressed in uniform. Her manner was also very rude. She couldn't have cared less. She spoke to me only in Chinese. The younger very rude man aggressively put his hand in my face preventing me from approaching the reception shouting at me No bike! I asked him if I could leave my bicycle with all my luggage on in a quiet place adjacent to reception while a buy a ticket? Again he shouted "No bike!" to me. He thrust his hand out in front of my face as I tried to move forward pushing my bike. This was extremely threatening. I calmly asked him to kindly remove his hand from in front of my face and if there was anyone available who spoke English? He told me he spoke English, "I know, No Bike!" but he he clearly did not know. He then became furious with anger continuing to shout at me in Chinese. So I asked him if I could speak with his manager or some one who could speak and understand English. He did not understand instead becoming even more angry. A small crowd had now gathered. I asked why I couldn't leave my bike with all my luggage by reception out of the way? He became so angry I thought he was going to hit me. Then a stranger who spoke some English explained that it was his rules and he would not help. So what do I do with my bike while I am in the Hot spring? The rude man continued to shout at me in Chinese. Look, I am really sorry but I don't speak Chinese. Where do other cyclists leave their bikes? He shouted at me again. I reminded him I was a visitor to Taiwan and he was not creating a good experience or impression for visitors. I told the other guy trying to help that he was ok, but I would not go into the Hot spring if my bike and luggage, laptop, cameras, etc. was not safe. As I turned my bike around having been humiliated by this guy he flipped me his middle finger. I have never had such terrible customer service anywhere in the world except from this Jiuzhize Renze Hot spring official. If I could award zero stars I would but unfortunately the system won't allow it. I cannot recommend this place in the slightest. I was shocked by the terrible customer service. It ruined an otherwise nice day cycling. Going in the Hot spring would have been perfect. I think this place only wants people to arrive by car or coach. The car and coach park is huge. Lots of tourist coaches. No provision for cyclists. They are not interested with people who want to reduce pollution and damage to the environment who arrive by bicycle. I give this place zero out of ten. The cost to enter the park and then entry to the Hot spring make it very expensive. A real tourist honey trap with poorly trained, unfriendly, ignorant and rude staff. Avoid. CYCLISTS...
Read moreThe best hot spring experience among Taiwan, US and Japan. The facility is a little outdated, but ylit has everything you need. That It won't stop you from dipping your exhausted body into soothing hot spring water pool. I walked around pool and found cold, warm and hot spots to satisfy my curiosity. They all worth trying especially under the waterfalls splash is very similar to hot water massage. It is a Sunday afternoon. Our party was surprised low population in the pool. We had a fun one plus ours simmer in it. All fatigues are gone. Minerals water formed a soft smooth layer on the skin. With the reasonable low entrance fee, I would say it well worth a driving from Taipei to enjoy this nature wonder in here. Afterwards, my party brought corns and eggs to hot spring boiling pool. What a unique way to have corns and eggs from boiling hot spring. I tasted them the first time and gave them two thumbs up. Yeah a beautiful Sunday for sure. Note, The bare minimum is to bring your own swimcap, swimwear,...

Staying in Taiwan without visiting this place will not complete your Taiwan travel goal. With its natural hot springs , mountains and forest adventure one day is not enough to enjoy the place.
