This geothermal area is government-owned and operated under a private contract. It is divided into three main sections: a cooking area, an education centre, and a fee-for-entry public hot spring area. These distinct zones cater to a variety of interests, making the park versatile and engaging for visitors.
The cooking area is a highlight of the park, offering a unique opportunity to cook food using natural geothermal heat. Visitors can purchase uncooked food items from the shopping area, which stocks a variety of options such as corn, eggs, peanuts, baby corn, potatoes, and sweet potatoes. Cooking baskets are available for rent at a reasonable price, adding to the convenience and appeal of the experience.
The education centre serves as an informative hub, providing insights into geothermal energy, the area’s geological features, and its environmental significance. This makes it an excellent stop for those interested in learning more about the science and sustainability aspects of geothermal activity.
The fee-for-entry public hot spring area is perfect for relaxation and unwinding. With its naturally heated waters, it provides a soothing experience amidst the picturesque surroundings.
It’s worth noting that the only general access fee for the park is the parking charge, which applies to both cars and motorcycles. This makes it an affordable destination for families or groups seeking a day out.

Read moreOur family had an amazing time here. It was a new experience for all of us and every moment was exciting. This place is a tourist area but it’s definitely worth it because I felt you’re getting great value and it’s inexpensive. If you have children they will love it. It’s also great for dates for couples as well.
Parking is very easy and ample. You walk towards the center. There will be items of food to buy and a rental fee for the basket. We chose eggs, baby corn, and regular corn. Then you head over to the hot thermal area and cook your food. It’s really cool. I’ve never done this before and it really entertained me haha.
Then there is another area you walk over to where you can soak your feet in cooler water under a shade with baby fishes. I was told that it eats your dead skin cells off your feet? All I know was that the first 10 mins it really tickles LOL! You’re gonna be laughing so much and having a wonderful time. My dad had a blast since it was his first time. Once you get used to it doesn’t tickle as much.
Everything was so affordable here. You also get a stamp on your hand so you can re enter back into the feet bathing area.
It was one of the best highlights of my trip all over Taiwan. I...
Read moreThe main water geotermal square was under maintenance, but since we went from a long time of car, we decided to take the offbeat path and have an adventure to go to cook our food (corns in our cases and other people's cases) in the natural geotermal ponds instead that in the not natural one which was under maintenance. We had to hike and pass some rocks but the experience was really great and much more active and interesting than what could have probably been in the normal geotermal square. For other explorers: you can pass the cold water of the river without fear, but just pay attention because the stones of the river are slippery. Also pay attention at the temperature of the pounds with hot water. Some are really hot! Only where you see the smoke you can cook since that temperature is the right one for cooking. Buddhist monks and nuns also like this place, and also families with young children or babies and groups of friends. I have passed a really interesting day...
