Very interesting walk, lots of temples to see in the caves and built into the mountain. Enjoyable walk, although quite steep at points. Recommend heading off early to avoid the midday heat. Very friendly people all along the trail, although it was very quiet midweek. We a had a short tour of a temple by a monk which was fun. Recommend this hike to all - we stayed in Quanhua temple for the night which was also...

Don’t bother with this historic trail; it’s all road and nothing worth seeing. Go directly to Shitoushan Quanhua temple, or park at Yuan Guang Si for a bit of a mountain side walk down to the temple. The temple is the only thing worth seeing on this trail - and is worth it seeing! Definitely the most stunning mountainside...

Nice short hike with few beautiful temples along the way.

I took the bus from Hsinchu HSR station, which will stop at the tourist centre, and started walking from there.

I ended up at Quanhua Temple and take the shuttle back to tourist centre. All the buses timetable can be obtain at Hsinchu's many...
