Farm Dream Estates — Attraction in Fenglin

I could give 1.5 or 2 stars, but I decided to give 3 stars for particular reasons. I visited this place (7/18-7/20) with family. We have a 11 months old baby, and there weren’t many trains stopping by this new station (XinGuan Lin-Rong). We arrived to the resort hotel around 1pm. We understand checking in time is 3pm, but I thought it would be nicer if the front office lady could either compliment us to check in early or give us option to pay little bit more money to check in immediately and take care the hungry baby. Instead, she asked us to leave the belongings in the lobby and walk around the resort area until 3 pm to check in. Everyone was frustrated. Even though the lady said they have golf carts to take us to the nearby areas, but front desk was in short hand, we had to wait without further notice. Therefore, my first impression was really uncomfortable. Later on we decided to spend extra money to rent the golf cart to convenient ourselves. Things became little bit smooth. When I went back the front desk again, there was s gentleman in the management level (he didn’t wear his uniform or name tag, but) was willing to listen to my concerns, brought baby cribs and baby’s bath tub to the room for us. I started to feel someone really takes care from customer service side. There was a young gentleman who is in training was really kind to give some suggestions. However, he is still new in his position and has to ask permission from his seniors. I am not saying I dislike the lady, I understand she just follows the company’s policy, I don’t blame her. But it will be really touching visiters’ heart if she understands how to think from guest’s perspective, especially the guests bring babies with them. My suggestions to people who think about staying over here—- 1. You’d better to have your own car, or if you are taking transportations, it will be much easier to rent a golf cart instead of walking. The resort is too big and will be tiresome by foot. 2. Don’t expect too much, then you will find some positive surprises. If you expectation is too high, you may end up disappointed. (Such as running down buildings, front desk is super far away from the entrance) 3. Remember to bring “A multiple USB charger”, in the room you probably can only find 2 outlets to charge your divisors. 4. Wearing long sleeve from nat’s bites. It is really unbearable. 5. From the train station to the resort, there is no proper way for people to walk. You have to share the road with cars. Be careful! 6. The resort is not a kid friendly place. Therefore, it is better to bring your own...

This place has a variety of animals in a large area, so it is recommended to rent an electric golf cart or 2/4 seater bike-car. It is easy to get to from Hualien station, taking the Chu-Kuang train for about 20 minutes. There are only a few trains a day that stop here tho. However, most of this farm seemed run-down, with alot of its animals neglected and/or with poor living conditions (especially racoons). There are alot of rusty bird cages that have the same few birds in different areas. The major problem I have with this place is the amount of mosquitos. The are insane amounts of "small black mosquitos", which are itchier and leave a larger bump on your skin. The repellent they sell does not...

我其實很少給一顆星，因為我覺得經營管理是一件很累人的事！我平常管理3000多人大廠的總務，所以出門遊玩多少我能體諒………但這間感覺無心經營了。

2022清明連假我們看了網路分享文章介紹而來，在大廳看到網路訂票除了優惠還可以有ubereat折價卷，但是被扣款了，沒有看到訂單，用另外一隻手機下訂，依然404網頁錯誤，因為老人家在等，這個也不能怪農場，但上線前沒測試嗎？

後來我們租了2小時4人安寶電動車$800+3小時雙人車$600，6個大人的門票$2100。園區很大，所以電動車是必須的，但但但，那天下雨電動車又沒任何雨遮，跟入口也不提供雨衣整個就是狼狽………

農場平日整理不夠，看台滿滿動物大便，很多過瘦的馬，買到的牧草有夠粗糙，馬羊都不吃，後來買了要給豬喝的奶給羊喝。有些餵養的看台間隙階梯落差過大，使人不小心踩空😣

最後小黑蚊很厚，要帶小朋友進去要三思，老人家被小黑蚊咬了一大包，至櫃檯詢問是否有醫藥箱，不知道是主管還是領班，笑著對我媽說妳皮比較細啦，拿包冰塊冰敷，我想如果這麼大間的醫藥箱都沒有，那基本的公共安全險是不是也沒有🤔

希望經營者要換人，不然這麼大的腹地原本可以為花蓮加分，我想地方政府也很多輔導甚至經費可以申請，期待下次再訪有所進步。
