This is a nice side trip if you're in Chishang. The area is pretty with a pond and bamboo groves. The mud can boil pretty energetically as you can see in the video, though it's on a smaller scale and not like...

This is a nice side trip if you're in Chishang. The area is pretty with a pond and bamboo groves. The mud can boil pretty energetically as you can see in the video, though it's on a smaller scale and not like Yellowstone.

我原先是要去羅山瀑布的, 在700公尺前會看到羅山泥火山的地標. 於是在走完瀑布步道後就來這裡, 這裡其實也可以遠觀瀑布的 不想爬600公尺瀑布步道的可以直接到這裡. Strava記錄我走750公尺 從羅山泥火山的地標到羅山大魚池只有500公尺, 這是一個設有免費停車場及免費入園的景點 從魚池的2邊走都可以到羅山泥火山, 走到後面會看到一條鐵製的步道,再往前走, 右邊可以看到很像泥濘的地方就是羅山火山泥, 我看了幾分鐘可以看到冒小泡泡,有時候會多一點喔, 雖然不大還是適合帶小朋友來體驗大自然的奧妙. 在這裡有一片竹林區, 可以順著竹林繞一圈, 拍拍照還不錯, 旁邊的田有簡易的水道橋 也可以看看. 回程可以在大涼亭及九曲橋拍照

(D4) 逛過羅山大魚池後, 接著往 泥火山 前進, 順著指標走, 不到 五分鐘就到了. 但如預期的 當然是看不到, 就拍幾張照留念一下. 但是這裡跟以前來時, 也有不同. 以前來時 並沒有羅山竹跡 那一大片竹林, 應該是後來開墾的. 看起來有點意思, 就決定走走看. 此外 在進來前的路邊, 有一株 羅山泥火山的稀有指標植物, 現已列入保育類植物 的鬯蕨, 真是特殊. 走進 羅山竹跡, 坡度並不陡, 很好走. 尤其是 置身在青翠茂盛的竹林裡, 覺得很舒服. 走到最高處, 還有石桌石椅 可以休息. 我們打算就這樣繞一圈過去, 再接回原來的羅山大魚池入口處. 最後才結束這趟 羅山 之旅.
