Jiananyunfeng Trailhead — Attraction in Gukeng Township

What an adventure this was! I took the 0800 Tourist Shuttle Bus from Douliu to Dongbi Villa which took about 1hr 50 minutes, the ride itself is spectacular! Anyway, it's a 2km walk from the bus stop to the car-park where there is the Jiugong tree and the start of two trails. I followed the middle one headed for Jiananyunfeng and it took about 50 minutes up through the bamboo forest to reach the ridge where I went left up to Jiananyunfeng peak. It's a scramble/climb in places with ropes and gloves are highly recommended. There's nothing to see at the summit but you can be proud of reaching the highest mountain in Yunlin. (Note, this is an out and back as the northern section of the Jiananyunfeng trail is closed and impassable.) It took 50 minutes there and back to the junction, where I headed 15 minutes to Shibishan peak which is again viewless but a nice walk. From there it was down to Cape of Good Hope with its outstanding but BE CAREFUL, the path is very close to a cliff edge and if you go over, you're dead. The views from here are expansive and blew me away. I made the mistake of descending via the south route which is poorly maintained, not well used and after a 1km reached the steep road back towards the carpark. It's a nasty, sketchy descent both on the trail and road and I was confronted by an angry dog about 1km from the end of the road which I had to scare off. I continued my walking via the Lianxinchi Falls but the whole thing took about 3 hours 25. It took another 50 minutes following the river and the YouLong trail to reach Dongbi so about 4hr 15 total. My advice is to go out and back via the main, central trailhead and do an out and back to the main peak and the Shibishan, Cape of Good Hope loop. 在往嘉南雲峰登山口旁有停車場、公廁，當地居民平日會擺攤賣乾貨和自己採的新鮮香菇，假日就會加賣熱食，如果臨時沒準備乾糧，在九芎神木土地公廟旁邊會有提供泡麵和熱水，需要的民眾可以添入香油錢再自行取用，很貼心，有多條登山步道可選擇，步道長但是算好走，沿途的竹林風貌很美，微風吹撫走起來不累很舒服，前面走起來簡單，後面就視各人體力斟酌，走到平台較輕鬆，走到嘉南雲峰、石壁山（三角點）和好望角就稍有難度，在三角點拍完照往返記得走左邊的岔路回去，不然走右邊得繞一圈才會走回停車場，會比較遠，下山若不趕時間可以去走走步道，風景優美，當地的居民和里長種了不少的樹，現在櫻花、桃花、李子花正大開，很美 停車場空間有限，就算是先到的遊客也希望你們能從第一個的位置有秩序、車子倒到最後面停好，要麻就往前停要麻就往後停（停在中間擋住所有人出入，就算妳是第一台車，就算妳是要去登山，也不應該為了自己的方便造成了大家的不便，這樣很自私）這樣才可以停兩排車位，中間又能方便大家出入，最後建議停車場地上釘的木板最好能噴上鮮豔顏色的噴漆來做識別，這樣比較一目了然，附近還有很多景點可以晃晃，山中的...

20201213今天約早上6:50抵達登山口停車場，是第二位遊客，這個登山口也是很多登山客所稱的“九芎神木登山口”。我剛開始以為今天來登山的人不多，但實際上我中午回來整個停車場完全停滿，連遊覽車都一堆，也難怪這停車場需要這麼大。 其實很多人第一次來登嘉南雲峰，都搞不清楚步道南側入口跟嘉南雲峰登山口的差異，甚至以為是同一個入口，所以看到指標會有點搞不清楚，明明旁邊的竹林就是登山口，怎麼還有一個距離此地2500m的南側入口。但其實這個登山行程有三個登山口，除了北側入口以外，停車場一旁的竹林入口就是嘉南雲峰登山口，至於所謂南側入口，還必須往水泥路徑前進2.5公里才會抵達，而我也是從南側入口回程才知道這件事。 另外若想從南側入口起登，最好不要徒步過去，路徑不窄直接開車過去比較好，那裡有停車場雖然不大，但選擇南側入口起登的人畢竟是少數，沒車位的機率算低。 個人認為不管由哪個登山口起登，最好是哪裏起登就哪裏回程，像我今天由九芎神木登山口起登，回程由南側入口下山，光走那個2.5km的產業道...
