Aimen Beach — Attraction in Huxi Township

Conveniently located only a few minutes from the airport. There are outdoor shower facilities and changing rooms, so you can enjoy the beach, then rinse off & change before catching a flight. The sand & water are both nice, and it's one of the few beaches with shade tents available for rent (a must if you burn easily in the tropical sun). Unfortunately, there is a large collection of cigarette butts wedged into the umbrella support of the beach tables, which does make the area smell a bit like smoke. The beach is largely used for water sports, so there are people using jet skis, SUP, and small canoes. Make sure to watch out for those while swimming, as the operators are not always paying...

Huge coastal beach with a lot of facilities. Outdoor showers. Public bathrooms. Wheelchair accessible. Carpark and more. What makes this beach better than the other on Penghu is that there are lots of trees and grass so you can get shade from the sun. The beach is split in half so water sports are at the northern side and swimming and snorkeling at the southern. You spend the whole day here. Really nice beach with very clean sand and volleyball nets where you can play for free. The area is pretty windy to the point the sand hurts the legs ahah. Watch out for kids and babies’ eyes. The water sports are dangerous for people enjoying the sea and the beach as the jet skis are driving really fast at like 3 meters of the beach even in the area designated for swimmers only. If you want to do the water sports, they will make you wear a life jacket which is ok but also a helmet like you were playing rugby. The view is really nice and the corals on the beach are exciting...
