Guningtou Battle Museum — Attraction in Jinning Township

We participated in the Guningtou battery car tour and went to the Guningtou War History Museum. After the driver parked the car, he guided us into the park.

First of all, we saw two tanks that had participated in the Battle of Guningtou, called as the Bears of Kinmen, defending at the gate of the War History Museum with their muzzles facing outward.

In front of the main entrance stands a statue of an unknown hero representing the brothers of the national army who participated in the Battle of Guningtou.

Entering the museum, the staff of the museum first let us watch a documentary about the Battle of Guningtou, which is quite detailed.

After watching the film, we began to visit the exhibits in the museum, including real weapons, flags, first-hand documents and paintings on the wall describing the Battle of Guningtou.

There were no food and souvenirs sold in the museum, there was air conditioning, and the space was very spacious.

古寧頭戰史館若有去金門者真的要去！ 中華民國，台灣在114年，10月25日， 古寧頭大捷（1949.10.25-1949.10.27）， 終於成為國定假日， 當然重點並不在上班族多放一天， 而是， 這是關鍵的中華民國台灣保衛戰。

或許台灣的一些大學生， 不懂古寧頭大戰的意義？ 也不懂為何一個戰役要大肆放假？

我只能說： 「如果」當時在古寧頭輸了， 金門失守就等於敵軍可以直攻台灣， 那台灣就會屬另一個國家的政治體制， 發展和結局都完全不一樣了。

還好！ 因為中華民國， 在古寧頭戰役（古寧頭大捷、金門保衛戰）， 打贏了這場仗， 所以中華民國的政權能繼續， 所以台灣，包含台澎金馬， 現在才是民主自由的國家。

（這邊先不提1995年， 隔壁的國家差點又要打台灣的事， 當時在金馬當兵的長輩們有提過， 才剛大學畢業到金馬當兵的嫩兵， 都得寫好給家裡的遺書⋯， 還好後來，一切平安。）

（先不提2027年的危機， 好奇者可google「將軍村」， 我把這些波在那，金門同樣重要， 因現在關鍵是只有5公里多的地方， 要守住不讓敵方陸軍上岸。）

因為金門多次幫台灣本島擋掉炮火， （謝謝您們！）

所以我們現在才可以自己選總統， 不是得靠地方代表才能「選」， 我們不爽誰還可以罵政治， 不用擔心被清算小命不保。

關鍵就是1949年， 民國38年10月的古寧頭戰役。

我們家族有長輩， 曾和我提起民國38年10月， 在金門當時當地的情況。

1949年10月， 當時長輩還是15-16歲左右， 剛從新竹到金門的菜鳥兵。

忘了他是在金門金湖還是金沙做兵？ （他有和我說，只是我忘了） 在事隔70多年後， 雖然長輩當時， 不是在古寧頭的大戰現場， 但他聽著從古寧頭傳來的激烈持續炮火聲， 在那肅殺的氣氛裡， 長輩在幾年前和我形容時的神情， 我都還記得一清二楚。

去古寧頭戰史館參觀， 是朋友的家人長輩帶我們去的。

他們是在地金門金寧人。 （是的，古寧頭就位於金寧。）

他們不經意中， 提到823炮戰和古寧頭大戰， 當時充滿死亡和肅殺之氣， 炮彈如雨落下， 炸開來細小的碎片就比菜刀鋒利， 到處都是彈孔和⋯。

看到這些金門的老長輩們爺爺奶奶， 提到823和古寧頭大戰， 仍心有餘悸的表情⋯， 所以我一直沒把台灣的民主自由， 當做理所當然。

當時參觀古寧頭戰史館， 因先聽到朋友長輩的分享， 內心太過震撼而沒拍照， 所以沒放照片。

我對我自己所在的地方， 和享受的政治體制。 是多少人用命用鮮血換來的這事， 覺得震撼，而說不出話來。

謝謝所有在地的金門人， 和所有努力的軍人們， 不管在世或已到天堂， 都謝謝您們。

希望從大陸被迫離開家人的榮民們， 都能被尊榮。

希望台灣本島有更多人知道這段歷史。
