Definitely would not recommend. This should be called a ‘restaurant that happens to have some animals’ instead of a farm. Right off the bat, entry fee is $300, 10x more expensive than the nearby zoo. The zoo is 100x more impressive with more farm animals as well.
First 2 seconds into the ‘farm’ was already a bad experience. Drove in with an uber, and cars coming in are charged the entrance fee immediately. The driver rolled down the window, a lady asked ‘tickets for 2?’ We nodded and she immediately yelled ‘SIX HUNDRED DOLLARS’ at us very unnecessarily loudly. No smile, no ‘welcome’, not even a ‘please’. just MONEY. Taiwan is known for hospitality, and I have not felt this much hostility in the entire of Taiwan, and this is my 10th day here.
The ‘farm’ is very limited in animals. You need to pay $100 to feed capybaras, and $50 to feed a donkey, some sheep and goats. The rest of the animals are not free roam, they are cramped in very tiny cages.
There are also very few animals to look at. The poster shows a lion, cows, pigs etc, all of which are NOT found in the ‘farm’. There really is just goats, one monkey, some assorted birds.
On the day we visited, half the venue was also bought out for a Porsche event, where there were EXTREMELY LOUD speakers blaring incessantly with the emcee screaming and some band playing music. Definitely does not feel or sound like a farm.
Many activities for children, and a lot of choices for food but all are expensive. Only come if you want to eat, do not visit if you are here for a farm experience.
Overall a tourist trap, worst $300 i’ve...
Read moreWe were there with 2 kids @ Jing Yuan Leisure Farm (淨園農場). It is a unique Taiwanese style holiday destination. 20 years ago it started as a coffee shop next to Kaohsiung International Airport in Xiaogang. Later, more attractions were added to the grounds such as a child's playground, petting zoo, campground, and additional restaurants.
It is not usually a stop for travelers to the airport; it sits on the opposite side of the airstrip from the airport terminal. It is more of a destination for local Taiwanese people. On weekends the place is usually packed with people, mostly families with small children. Also there is a zoo with hippos, lions, llamas, and other animals. In addition there is a large playground, mini train, campground, and multiple restaurants on the grounds.

Read moreFrom what I could tell the animals are taken care of and they have a certain degree of freedom. They are cheap and allow you to touch and feed the animals. There were Capybaras, alpaca, sheep, deer, and goats. Those are the ones that you can pet. There are flamingos and other types of birds but you can't touch those as well as the hippos. I did see a horse there and unfortunately it didnt look like it had a lot of space but it looked very well taken care of. You can also see meerkats, monkey, koi fish, duck, geese and others im sure I missed. It was extremely cheap for the experience right near the airport (15-17 mins) came out to about 10 USD per person or 400 TWD and it came with a 100 TWD voucher on each ticket which you can use to buy drinks, ice cream or snacks OR even things to feed the animals. I only had 400 TWD on me for two people so they worked with us and after paying the cash they let us pay the rest of the 200 TWD inside with card. But they need cash to let you in. COME PREPARED WITH CASH FOR ENTRANCE you can use card...
