I’ve been to Versailles, I’ve watched the sun rise over the Great Pyramids of Egypt, I’ve marveled at the Taj Mahal, and I’ve climbed the Great Wall of China. Yet none of these destinations can hold a candle to the majestic splendor that is the Fongguei Cave of Penghu. I was simply emotionally unprepared for the profound change that witnessing this spectacle would provoke in me. My life on this earth can now best be described as having two parts: before visiting the Fongguei Cave of Penghu, and after. My only regret is that I will never again be able to see it for the first time; that magical moment has come and gone, and I must now look forward to a life that will surely seem drab and bleak in comparison to the sheer joy that is the Fongguei...
