I’ve been to Versailles, I’ve watched the sun rise over the Great Pyramids of Egypt, I’ve marveled at the Taj Mahal, and I’ve climbed the Great Wall of China. Yet none of these destinations can hold a candle to the majestic splendor that is the Fongguei Cave of Penghu. I was simply emotionally unprepared for the profound change that witnessing this spectacle would provoke in me. My life on this earth can now best be described as having two parts: before visiting the Fongguei Cave of Penghu, and after. My only regret is that I will never again be able to see it for the first time; that magical moment has come and gone, and I must now look forward to a life that will surely seem drab and bleak in comparison to the sheer joy that is the Fongguei Cave of Penghu.

The scenery is so stunning. If you are stay on the top of the tower, you can see great ocean and massive basalt. Besides, you can also hear waves hit on the rock sounds but I prefer the view. I think if I am in the bad mood then see this amazing view, I will feel better in the short time. There are several bench that you can sit and see these wonderful ocean view. So nice.

We had to drive about 20 minutes from our hotel to visit, but thankfully the views were worth the hot scooter ride. A cove with aqua water was our favorite, and the bright blue ocean with cliffs in the distance was also beautiful. My husband enjoyed some local cactus ice cream at the on-site shop.

This place deserves a visit. You will have a very nice and unique view. You can walk on the rocks and feel the breeze of the ocean. It's a good spot to take some pictures. There is a minimarket nearby and toilets. Very peaceful and beautiful. The place is also very clean!

Incredibly and unbelievably hot in the summer months. Be sure to bring a hat and sunscreen. The sun is really strong and it's common to get heat strokes if visiting during the day. Also, they're not really caves. It's more of a rocky spot with some small blowholes.

There is a nice little observation deck, and though it is winter, the water was not too wild. Tried to see the "cave" as people seem to have photos of it, but maybe the tide was a bit too high.
