Erziping Visitor Center — Attraction in New Taipei

It's an interesting place for hikers or cyclists. On bike you can even go further to Datun peak. As for hiking, the place is close to the Taipei Grand Hike (which also goes by Datun several summits). So it can be a rest or an escape from that hike because there are toilets, water, a souvenir shop with some snacks and the 108 shuttle to bring you back to Yangmingshan bus terminal. Good for hiking with family. My seven and five year olds made it with little complaining. Enough nature to keep them busy and having fun. Nice lake and grassy fields at end of 1.8 km hike. Mostly shaded from sun. Keep in mind it can be breezy and large temperature difference from Taipei city. Bring umbrella, jacket, bug spray, and plenty of water...

It's got a big parking area, bathrooms and a gift/souvenir/convenience shop. My friend got an energy drink before our hike from the shop and they have disposable rain coats there in case you forgot yours. The bus stop is within the parking lot too and small bus 108 from here connects you to the bigger buses at the Yang Ming Shan National Park...
