■ 園興緣起 新北市客家文化園區於90年10月8日正式動土，歷時3年又8個月完工，94年8月4日正式對外營運，緊鄰北二高三鶯交流道，鄰近鶯歌火車站僅2公里，便捷的公路及鐵路運輸方便遊客蒞園遊玩。99年12月25日臺北縣改制升格為新北市，原「臺北縣客家文化園區」亦更名為「新北市客家文化園區」。園區佔地面積約4.5公傾，基地面積8018㎡；興建經費2億8千萬元，樓層數為地上3層，地下1層，總樓地板面積10,870㎡。館舍取客家傳統建築裡，最具代表性的土樓型式及禾埕、水圳、望樓、通廊等元素，其中，土樓建築更透過雕窗花的形式，將客家晴耕雨讀的價值觀與伯公信仰的敬天美德意象融入其中，建構客家文化內涵。整體設計結合現代建築空間機能，於方圓、高低、曲直之中，隱然化約成新北都會客家歷史記憶與族群文化場域的精神堡壘。
