A baldheaded guy working in ticket office was very rude. He ruined memories from this place.
I asked to top up my easy card to get back to Taipei city. he did somethig and soon he gave my card back with my money(he said something in chinese). I had no idea what happend. A lady queuing behind me explained he said machine couldn't read this card. Well this never happend before and i needed to top up to get back so i asked him exactly like "could you try one more time?"(queue was not long)
Then he suddenly 'stood up' 'smashing' his desk and 'yelling' at me "No!!!!!! bla bla(chinese) I tired three times three No!!!!!!"
I was so shocked. Sorry but it's not my fault that i didn't know you already tried several time?
He better learn to control his temper if he wants to work at that position. The lady behind me explained me how to buy ticket from machine so i can get back without easycard While that guy in ticket office is not doing his job properly.

I personally like this place much more than Pingxi which is in many eyes same or better.
There is a lot of crowd due to the weekend and nice weather. Weekdays might be some better.
Everywhere you are able to pay and paint your lantern.
Food over here is delicious. Avoid the ones to close the station and at the beginning. There are some better some farther down.
