I recently visited the Shi San Hang Museum in Bali District, New Taipei City. It's a museum full of traditional culture and historical atmosphere, which gave me a deeper understanding of Taiwanese culture and crafts.
I purchased my ticket online, which was very convenient and saved me time from having to wait in line. Before entering the museum, I checked the surrounding transportation and parking information. If you're driving, I recommend checking for parking lots near the museum, as the on-site parking is limited. If you're taking public transportation, you can take the Tamsui Line to Tamsui Station and then transfer to a bus to get there.
Upon entering the museum, I was attracted by the unique architectural style. The museum is made up of two Chinese-style mansions, and the interior showcases a variety of ceramics, lacquerware, wood carvings, embroidery, and artifacts. I also visited the special exhibition on Taiwanese aboriginal culture and learned about the traditional cultures and arts of different ethnic groups in Taiwan.
After visiting the museum, I also walked around the area and found many food and coffee shops, allowing me to enjoy local cuisine and scenery while relaxing. If you're interested, you can also take a walk along the nearby coast and enjoy the magnificent seascape.
Overall, the Shi San Hang Museum is a highly recommended place to visit, whether you're a cultural enthusiast or someone who enjoys exploring traditional culture. It will give you a glimpse of Taiwan's unique history and...
Read moreThis museum does not have much display and the explanation is quite simple. Good for kids to explore around, but not so unique for cultural explorers.
The museum is not big, but the aisle and floor area is large, so good for kids to go around. This museum can only spend you at most 2 hours to look at every exhibitions. Combining with the Bali Old Street, it is just fit for a half day tour. May consider to take ferry to the other bank of the coast to spend...
