good place to visit . Yutengping Bridge, also known as Longteng Bridge, formerly known as Yutengping Bridge, is located in Longteng Village, Sanyi Township, Miaoli County, Taiwan. It was built in the year before the opening of the Longitudinal Railway (subsequent to Taichung Line). A little disappointed, because you can see many photos or paintings of the Longteng bridge, but the real bridge doesn't look like them!. It was actually consolidated in early 2023, with metal arches to connect each of the bridge's pillars. Everyone understands the need to strengthen it to prevent its collapse, but this was done, in my opinion, in a rather ugly way. The bridge area is currently undergoing some repairs, so as of now the view will not be good.. 😔 but for everyones safety, guess we just have to wait until they've completed the works..

Meanwhile, you can go on the upper part and hop on the old mountain line rail train.. these are small rail train that will take you on a short journey in this old line.. tour is about 90mins, but depends on your station of origin..
