Daan Beach Park Marina — Attraction in Taichung

Worth visiting, since they have two pools, and the opportunity to go into the sea. Sadly food is only available on weekend. I wish the bridge could be renovated as well.

Update: the pedestrian bridge has been recently demolished, no idea if they are going to rebuild it. The Beach Park is closed during the school time, which means it only opens when there is summer time and holiday for the students. However, if the weather makes it suitable, you can still go here, and enjoy the nice sandy beach. There are also shower heads in front the building with nice warm water, but obviously no access to facilities, such as toilet, baby...

Currently sand sculpture is open from June 27 to July 12, 2020 which happen only every 2 years. You can swim on the beach at the same time on the swimming pool which is free and no entrance fee. Food available outside during this date so that you can buy and eat there and parking lot is wide. Amazing views until sunset and do camping too...

Was pretty packed when we went a couple weeks ago. But there’s enough people coming and going, we were able to get a parking place quickly. There are street vendors selling their wares nearby and port-a-potties in the parking...
