For tourist, this place may not a great option to visit since it's not convenient to get here using public transport from Taichung and this resort is basically a castle-like building with nice garden and restaurant (pricey for so-so drinks and food).
But for locals and those who live nearby and have car or motorcycle, going to this place is quite nice. Especially during autumn or winter when the weather isn't that hot and breezy. It's like a day away from the pollution in the city (especially for those who live in Taichung).
Better visit earlier before lunch time since it won't be many people so you can enjoy the place for yourself, walking around the area and especially walking through the manmade small waterfall. I hoped I can explore the whole area but due to limited time, only superficial view was seen. There are so many instagramable corner that you can have your unli pictorial. It is a combination of both western and oriental architectural designs. Although, the entrance fee is somewhat expensive, it is worth it because you can enjoy every corner of this place.
