Danei Totoro Bus Stop — Attraction in Tainan

The artworks are of high quality and well-maintained. The place is a quiet village so you may want to keep your voice down to avoid disturbing the villagers. The artworks are close to one another, but can be tricky to find. So keep your eyes open and look in various corners.

The public transport in Tainan is next to non-existent. So getting a chartered car is in your favour. Planning the trip to all the outskirts area and getting a car is the most efficient way that we can think of.

We did not plan for this destination at all... so we haphazardly got on the HSR from Kaoshiung to Tainan and took a cab there (1300 NTD for a return trip to the HSR station). The next day, we were smarter and booked the cab the whole day for 1800...

This is a super cute painted village. It's in the middle of nowhere, so best if you have your own car/transportation. I wouldn't come out of your way to come here but you can do what we did, which was visit the relatively nearby (~15-20min) fossil museum and water works museum.

There isn't really food/restaurants close by so bring food or plan to grab some...
